Commander Ryan Titus walks onto the bridge of the newly re-fit USS Optimus. He looks around at the dark screens and imagines the activity that had gone on here during the mimic-war.

Ryan had been an XO for Admiral Faulk's USS Matador for 4 years; he hadn't expected to get a new commission, and wasn't particularly wanting one, as he'd been happy where he was.

But as Admiral Faulk said: "Our purpose here is to ensure the continued exploration of space, and the protection of the UFP members...we cannot do that if we don't put our best officers in a position to help."

The fact that the admiral had thought so-much of him had made it even harder to leave, but he was sure that he had gotten this commission on the Admiral's advice...as he was the only CO he'd ever had.

Ryan walked to the command-chair and sat down.

"Computer, activate all ship-board systems. Authorization Titus-one,four-gamma."

"Authorization confirmed. Ship-board systems are now being activated."
the computer said.

after beaming aboard the uss Optimus, Klamorta tapped a wall-panel to get the where-abouts of the Captain. She waited as he was located and then headed for the turbo-lift as the computer said that the CO was on the bridge.

She entered the turbo-lift and said, "Deck one."

The lift moved swiftly, though she could barely feel any movement at all. When the door opened, she saw a young man in a Commander's uniform sitting in the command-chair. She assumed that this was Commander Titus and walked up to him as he was entering some information into the command-console.

"Ensign Klamorta Telnai,reprting for duty sir." she said, saluting her commanding officer.

Sabina is sequestered in sickbay as usual. She hears a rumor about new crewmembers and sends a shipwide comm.

Dr. Jackson +T+ All> "If you have not completed your physical, please report to sickbay to do so asap. Thank you, Dr. Jackson out."

Commander Titus began entering information into his command-console as soon as the ship-wide systems were activated. He wanted to ensure that the ship was at 100% operational capacity before they launched from SB-141.

He looked-up as an ensign entered the bridge an approached him:

Commander Titus returned the obligatory salute and quickly entered the ensign's name into the command-console, as he wasn't familiar with her name. After getting the information he was looking for, he returned his attention to the ensign, who still stood at attention in-front of him:

"At ease Ensign Telnai." Commander Titus began.

"Welcome aboard the Optimus Ms Telnai. You are to be our operations officer and secondary helm officer.

Before you begin with your assignments though, I'll need you to report to sickbay, as Doctor Jackson has mandated physicals for all new crew members. Any question?"
