Admiral Malc walked into the ready room on his new ship.
There were two large desks with four chairs in front of each. This was because the XO and the CO of this ship shared the ready-room.
He walked up to the desk with his name-plate on it, and took notice of the PADDs scattered over it, as he took a seat in the soft chair that sat behind.
He entered his new authorization code into the terminal in front of him, and as it confirmed his identity, he began sending transmissions to all of his contacts; informing them that all new intel was to be sent directly to his new ship.
When he was finished, he tapped a button on his console, and brought-up the Star-Fleet record of his new XO. He had chosen an ex-intelligence expert for his executive officer; an officer that was highly respected throughout the fleet, and had an impeccable record of service. Colonel Kevin Barada.
He read-over the reports on the Colonel for the 30th time, then when he was finished, he tapped his opened a channel to SB-141:
[glow=red,2,300]"When Colonel Barada shows-up, have him come directly to the Optimus. Malc out."[/glow]
He said into the communicator, then cutting-off the link before someone could reply: He didn't have time for small talk...there was too much work to do, and he wanted to waste no time.

Admiral Malc heard the chime, and said: "come."
He watched as Colonel Barada strode into the ready-room confidently; walking up-to Admiral Malc's desk and saluted, standing at attention.
"Stand at-ease Colonel." Admiral Malc said.
"And for now on, there is no need to ring the chime...as this is your ready-room as much as it's mine...... I will assume that you have recieved my full brief concerning the position you're taking...so I will bypass the normal routine, and we can get right down to business.......that is your desk over there...activate your clearance, so I can send the latest reports to you...for now on, they'll be routed through your command console, as-well as mine, and the black-room."

::Barada stood at-ease. He listened carefully.::
"Understood, Admiral. And yes, I am well aware of the brief. I will be conducting an inspection of the ship, and personnel shortly, especially the IIC. Are there any standing orders, Sir?"

::Barada stood at-ease. He listened carefully.:: "Understood, Admiral. And yes, I am well aware of the brief. I will be conducting an inspection of the ship, and personnel shortly, especially the IIC. Are there any standing orders, Sir?" Admiral Malc watched as Colonel Barada walked to his desk, and activated his console; "No Standing Orders...but your Chief Intelligence Officer should be arriving soon." Admiral Malc said, shortly before the chime rang.
"Come." Admiral Malc said.
Lt. James Dalton strode into the room rigidly. He walked directly to the front of the Admiral's desk, coming to attention and saluting, before he barked-out his Name and rank before handing his transfer-orders to the Admiral.
Admiral Malc looked at the out-stretched-Hand, holding a PADD that contained the transfer-orders.
Admiral Malc returned the salute, but didn't take the PADD from the Lieutenant.
"Give that to Colonel Barada Mr.Dalton, he is our Executive officer, and he handles all personnel." Admiral Malc said with a Nod to the Colonel.
He then turned toward the Colonel fully, and said: "Colonel, this is Lieutenant Dalton. He will be our Helm officer, and your Chief Intelligence officer."

~A nod of the head was given.. He would salute the other man and would hand him the padd, as he was told to do.. It seemed that the Fleet Admiral already knew who he was.~
"Hello Sirs.. I hope I am not late or running late.. Had truble with the shuttle pilot being a pain"

As Lt. Dalton walked over to the Colonel's desk, he noted the red-light that went off on his console.
He tapped a couple keys and noted the contents of the message, then looked to the Colone:
"Colonel, it appears that Section-31 has contacted us with some new intel....find out anything you can from them, and deal with the rest as you see fit."

::Colonel Barada studied the Lieutenant with a steady gaze. He accepted the PADD and scanned the orders carefully, finding them in order. With that he activated the Lieutenant's clearances and handed the PADD back to him.::
"Welcome aboard, Lieutenant."
::He turned to the Admiral.::
"We'll get right on it, Admiral. Mr. Dalton, on me."
::With that, they headed for the IIC.::

The Admiral watched the Colonel and Lt. Dalton, and nodded as they left the ready-room.
After they left, Admiral Malc tapped some buttons on his command-console, and began scanning the most recent Intel-reports from the fleet.

Fritz would walk up to the Ready-room door, and tap the chime. He would wait for a response.

Admiral Malc was watching the stream of intel-reports stream down the screen of his console, when he heard the chime. He paused a moment, wanting to read the last thing that was sent. After he finished, he turned the console off, and said:
"Come."

Fritz would walk into the large ready room, and seeing the Admiral, would walk straight-up to the desk, and come to attention.
"Sir, I have been sent a temporary transfer order, ordering me to your ship.
:::Hands PADD to Admiral:::
"I wasn't told what post I would be required to man on your ship, sir, during my stay."
Fritz would stand at attention while the Admiral looked over the PADD. He would stay that way until told to stand-down.

He took the PADD from the officer and laid it down on his desk...he had no need of reading the orders, since he had been the one that sent them.
He looked up to Lt. Sheldon, and said:
"The reason you haven't been assigned a position is because I think you'll be best utilized in a versatile role. The Admiral paused a moment, then continued:
You'll be working closely under Colonel Barada and his chief of Intelligence, Lt. Dalton. I'd suggest you get you belongings put-away, The admiral said, looking at the duffel-bag Lt.Sheldon was holding,
"...and then find the Colonel and report in to him...I would suggest haste, as the Colonel doesn't appreciate tardiness. Dismissed.
With that said, the Admiral looked back to his console, then after hitting a few keys, he brought-up inter-ship security.
