Admiral Malc smirked.
"Funny you should ask that Commander, because I do indeed have some plans for you. I think..."
The Admiral's voice trailed-off as the alarm indicating a priority-one SSM grabbed his attention. He quickly began reading the communication, and as he did, more messages began popping-up. His brow furrowed.
"What the hell???" Admiral Malc said, meaning to say it to himself, as the words slipped from his mouth.
He looked up to Commander Dantara.
"I just recieved 14 intel reports claiming that more than 4,000 invader ships have simutaneously exploded."

::Brock's eyes went wide in surprise:: 4000 ships? Simultaneously? That's insane! What are these people thinking? Not that I'm complaining. I hope they all blow themselves to H*ll.
This could be due to their own dimension imploding. I have a theory about that. I think it's this portal device they use. This thing has to tear through the fabric of interdimensional space and maybe even time to bring them here. I think the use of this device is what's destroying their own dimension.
If this war is coming to an end now, and I pray that it is, We're going to have our work cut out for us in keeping this technology from being reverse-engineered and used again in this universe. Assuming I'm right about this.
How many more ships do they have in our space as of now, Admiral?

How many more ships do they have in our space as of now, Admiral? Admiral Malc heard the Commander, but his eyes and attention was on the continuous stream on intel reports that continued to rapidly appear on his screen.
He looked back to the Commander:
"It appears that you are correct. According to intercepted Kevan and Beltorian communications, multiple Invader-Prisoners have been tortured and it was found that their dimension is quickly collapsing, and that their main portal-device has been destroyed."
He paused a moment, then continued:
"According to reports, less than 300 invader-ships have survived in Federation space, and are still blowing-up...or self-destructing. Whatever the case, it appears this threat is over. Go to the Bridge and relieve Captain Kaz, and send out a sub-space message to all Federation and Alliance ships that the war is over, but that CO's should be on the look-out for any ships that may not have self-destructed...or possibly went rogue. I'll join you on the bridge as soon as I finish speaking with the senate and relaying the good news. "

::Brock nodded, listening to the Admiral, then got to his feet.::
Understood, Admiral. ::Brock reached down and pulled something out of his boot, it was a small flask. He put it on the Admiral's desk.::
This isn't quite what it looks like, Admiral. It's piece of Starfleet history. This is engine room hootch made personally by Montgomery Scott in 2267.
I realize that technically, hootch is illegal, but there was a day when Captains travelled parsecs just to try this stuff. I keep it on me so tha in case I found myself in a ....near death situation The last thing I'd do is get drunk on this. ::Grins::
Admiral, you've done an amazing job leading the fleet and I think you've earned this. I'll see you on the bridge, assuming you're not going to have me arrested. ::He grinned boyishly as he left the Ready Room.::

Admiral Malc accepted the flask ,nodding to Lt.Commander Brock Dantera as he left the ready-room.
Admiral Malc had been thinking of who to make the XO of the Optimus, and although he wanted to Have Captain Ka on the Optimus, he felt that it may be better for her if she was on another ship because the Optimus would invariably remind her of the Tahoe, ad the tragedy that took her ship, and many of it's crew.
After a few minutes of consideration...he opened his PADD and sent out transfer orders for Captain Kaz to be re-assigned to the Theomeny.
He then, added a letter of commodation to her file and sent out the ssm.
He then opened Lt.CMDR Dantara's file and added the pip to his file that he was planning to give him later that day, making him a Full Commander. He also added a letter of commodation, then added that he was to be assigned as XO of the USS Optimus, effective immediately.
After he finished, he decided to call the Commander to the Ready room to let him know of his decision.
Admiral Malc hit the intership comm, and things began to get hazy...
...Everything began going dark...
He decided to call Dr. Jackson...
"Dr. Jackson to the ready room immediately." He said before falling down and passing out.

Dr. Jackson enters the ready room in a rush and finds Admiral Malc slumped at his desk. "Sir, can you hear me?" She pulls out a medical tricorder and scans him. The only thing her scans pick up is that he is unconscious. She takes a blood sample and puts it into a scanner to make sure there are none of those nasty viruses that had been spread my the imposters in his system. The scan picks up a common virus, some from Earth called it a cold, and a low blood glucose reading.
She sighs... obviously the Admiral had been working too hard and neglecting his health. He would have never gotten sick from a simple cold if he had been eating and sleeping properly. She decides not to administer a stimulant to wake him up... she will simply let him rest for awhile. She does however, give him a nutritional suppliment in a hypospray and an immune booster. She needs to go to the bridge and ask for the ops officer to beam them to the Admiral's quarters... simply sending a comm wouldn't be very discreet, and she doesn't want half the ship bothering him when he's supposed to be resting.
She sees two PADDs with Captain Kaz's and Commander Dantara's names on them and picks them up to deliver them. Then, she goes to the bridge.
