Torianna: ::Torianna looked at Brock, her facial expression showed clearly the love she had for him as she listened to him speak but then before she could respond with more than a loving smile, the waitress arrived at their table to refresh their drinks as the announcer's voice came over the shuttle's audio system and Torianna listened along with the others aboard. Her cheeks flushed with a soft crimson color, thinking of Brock's words of praise. She knew much about the Dolhman and Brock would one day know how hard was her fight to raise above her heritage. Torianna looked to the stage as she watched the tall woman take the stage and she clapped and cheered along with the others. Tori nodded, sending her long dark hair to fly about her face as she cheered in agreement when the singer spoke of the most beautiful skies. As Teria Sola dedicated her first song to all the happy young couples soon to be joined, Torianna looked to Brock with tears of joy filling her eyes. She knew that she could have traveled the entire galaxy and never would she have found a place that she belonged more than right here beside Brock. She gestured for a waitress and when the waitress came near, Torianna whispered to her and the waitress nodded, smiling as she walked away.::
Brock Dantara: ::when he saw the tears in her eyes he wiped them away with his fingers a little, not wanting to smudge her makeup any. He showed her his hand with the tears on it.:: These don't work on me, Sh'aud, they never could, because what I feel is real. These tears can't work on someone who's feelings are genuine, as are mine. Your tears are a survival instinct of your people, but they only work if you need them to. You never needed those for me, and you never will. You put me in a spell long before I knew about your tears. ::He held her tight.:: Teria can sure hit hose high notes can't she? When I look at you, Sh'aud, I see only the music of your love, and it is all high notes. We'll leave the Durges to the Klingons. ::Smiles as he hugs her.:: I love you more than the stars could know, Sh'aud.
Torianna: ::Torianna gasped out loudly as Brock wiped her tears, ever so gently. Her voice soft:: Brock, no. [/b][/i]::Then she listened to his words and managed a small smile as she realized that perhaps he was right about her tears not working on him because his feelings were genuine and their love was real, not brought on by the power of her tears. She snuggled against him as he held her tight and she nodded hearing Teria hit those very high notes, her voice was beautiful.:: When I look at you, Brock, I see all the love a woman could ask for, a perfect man. Now before you dispute this, I know you are not perfect in all ways BUT, you are indeed perfect for me. [/b][/i]::She returned his hug and smiled as he spoke once more of his love for her, then began to tremble slightly as she heard Teria call her to the stage. She gave Brock a kiss and then pushed the button to bring the loveseat to an upright position and rose, looking back once over her shoulder to wink at Brock as she made her way to the stage. She was not a professional singer but there was a song in her heart that she wished to sing to him and what better time than now. She fought to control her nervousness as she stepped onto the stage.:: Thank you Teria. [/b][/i]::Said with a smile and then she turned to look out over the crowd, smiling until her eyes met with Brock's:: I would like to dedicate this song to a very special man, the only one that has ever captured my heart and given me his in return. [/b][/i]::As the music began, Tori's voice seemed to fill the shuttle.::
[glow=red,2,300]((OOC Note for any who would like to hear the song, it is "Lucky One" by Amy Grant))[/glow]
You're the kind
When you love you love with all your might and
You're the kind
I would dream about at night
Now I'm the lucky one
Baby I'm the lucky one
You're the kind
That I want to be with in the dark and
You're the kind
Who is capturing my heart
And I'm the lucky one
Baby I'm the lucky one
And I have never been the one to fall in love so soon
But I could never face another night or day without you
Baby I'm the lucky one
You're the kind
With poetry and valentines and
You're the kind
Who will never ever leave
And I'm the lucky one
The luckiest girl
My, my, my baby
Baby I'm the lucky one
And I have never been the one to fall in love so soon
But I could never face another night or day without you, you-hoo
I'm the lucky one
Baby I'm the lucky one
I said
Doot-doo, doot-doo-n-doo-doo
Doot-doo, the lucky one
Doot-doo, doot-doo-n-doo-doo
Ah, my, my, my baby

Torianna: ::As the song ended, Tori turned and thanked Teria again before stepping down from the stage and heading back to where Brock waited for her, her face radiating her love for him.::
Brock Dantara: ::Brock found himself holding back his own tears as she approached him,:: Well, you are full of surprises yourself, aren't you? ::He scooped her up with his arms, hugging her.:: Where did you learn to sing? That was beautiful. I can't believe you did that for me. ::he smiled:: well, at least now I'm certain of one thing. It looks like I'm not going to be the only ham bone in the family! ::he laughed.::
Teria Sola: Teria came up to them briefly, smiling.: "That was very nice for you to do that. I'm very happy for the two of you. May the Gods smile on you both and grant you peace, health, happiness and strong children." :[/i]She hugged them both and moved on to talk to the other guests.::
Brock Dantara: I hope that I can give you all of those things and more, my love. and you can sing me to sleep anytime you want. ::Kisses her, as they feel a slight shudder in the ship. They both turn and see the Stratos skydock in the monitor, then looking up, they can now see the city rising across the dome, Her lights were glowing and it looked more alive the closer they got.:: Look, Sh'aud, we're about to dock! Look how beautiful that is. We'll be "home" so to speak before long. Then we're going to have some real fun. Wait until you see what I have for you. ::They both stared in awe of the city as they slid into the skydock, preparing to hook into it and connect the passageway to the city.::
Torianna: ::As she approached him, she saw the tears he held back and she could not help but love him even more.:: I can not allow you to be the only one with surprises, now can I? [/b][/i]::Her voice soft as she felt many eyes upon them. She giggled softly as he scooped her up within his strong arms and hugged her tightly, her arms going around his shoulders and neck as she looked up into his eyes.:: My mother taught me to sing when I was a very little girl, although the songs I sang were much different then. The night you first sang to me, I did not think I could ever sing like that in front of a crowd but I wanted to find a way to surprise you, to announce to the universe or at least a small part of it at a time of my love for you. [/b][/i]::She smiled as their eyes locked in a deep loving gaze, her head canted slightly as she asked softly.:: The only ham bone in the family? [/b][/i]::Before he could respond, Teria came up to them and spoke briefly.:: Thank you Teria, for allowing me to sing and also for they wonderful blessings. [/b][/i]::As Teria moved on, she looked back to Brock.:: I have no doubt that you will give me all of those things and much more, Sh'aud. I am certain there will be very few nights when I will not sing you to sleep, in one way or another. [/b][/i]::Tori blushed then as he kissed her. She jumped slightly as she felt a slight shudder in the shuttle, which up until now seemed to float and she looked to him before turning to see the skydock of Stratos in the monitor. She looked at the monitor and then up at the city rising across the massive dome. Tori was rendered speechless but the beauty of it all as they stared in awe of the city.::
Brock Dantara: ;;They left the gate of the docking port that opened onto the main promenade of the city. This time, Stratos was bustling with people from many worlds, and all walks of life. The promenade was like a long flatway where many would gather to socialize and walk about in the open air and light. Brock took Tori's hand as they strolled toward the sky-bound metroplex. at the edge of the promenade, were sets of scan scopes where people could look through and see the surface, and the skylines with magnification and enhancement. Brock took Tori's hand and led her to one. He looked into the scope in order to bring something into focus for her, then called her to look.:: Take a look at this, my love. This is Nimbos, the second cloud city.
Torianna: ::As they left the docking port gate and walked onto the promenade, she looked about at all the people, so many different gathered here in groups socializing and enjoying the open air. She looked to him with a smile as he took her hand while they strolled along the promenade. She saw the scan scopes as he guided her toward the edge of the promenade. She stood back a bit as he looked into one of the scopes, wondering what it was he was focusing on before he called her over to it. She looked into the scan scope and gasped softly at the beautiful sight magnified so clearly.:: Nimbos is beautiful, Sh'aud but not nearly as beautiful as Stratos, at least not in my eyes. [/b][/i]::Her smile was bright and reflected in her eyes as a twinkle.::
Brock Dantara: ::Brock stood behind Tori, putting his arms around her waist, as he smelled her neck.:: Nimbos is larger than Stratos, but was build only in the last 80 years or so. On those cities, many architects participated in the design from all over the alpha quadrant. Architecturally speaking, Stratos is almost pure Ardanan and is still the most popular of the cloud cities. The others are nice, though. I've seen all of them Nimbos has a great many luxury hotels and resorts and is almost purely dedicated to our tourism trade. :He smiles boyishly to her.:: Come, there is someone you must meet. ::again Brock took his wife to be by the hand, and led her toward the city. He could tell that Tori had an idea where they were heading. It was to the enterprise monument, that Brock showed her in the other program, only this time it was surrounded by people taking holo pics, and listening to a guide tell the story of the historic visit of the Enterprise back in 2269. They approached, and as they did, Brock saw an elderly gentleman sitting by, resting, and smiling to the passers by. When he saw Brock his eyes lit up, as did Brock's when he saw the old man. They started toward him, as he began waddling his way toward them as well. A moment later he was in front of them, eyes glowing happily.:: Kelmar! ::Brock said and stepped forward hugging the old man.:: It is so good to see you again!
KELMAR:[/b] Hello! hello! my young friend! And look at what a fine man you have become. ::Looks at Tori and gasps:: [/b]By the Gods below, Brock, you told me of you wanted to go the stars, but never did you say that you were going to bring one back with you! :: smiling again at Tori:: [/b]What a lovely woman you have as companion, now introduce me! ::laughs::[/b]
Brock Dantara: ::Brock laughs:: Kelmar, allow me to introduce my wife-to-be and my ships counselor, Torianna.
KELMAR:[/b] Welcome to Stratos, My Dear! It is so wonderful to meet you! ::He hugged Tori:: [/b]You know, when Brock was young boy, this is where he came out to play, and to look at the stars. And he would point to that statue of gold and tell me "I'm going to have my own Starship one day!" His hero, Captain Kirk meant so much to him, he would tell me that someday he would do this for someone else. Even as a boy he had noble dreams and I see that he has filled some of those dreams already. Tell me, my dear, where are you from?
Brock Dantara: ::Brock smiled, enjoying seeing Torianna talk to his old friend.::
Torianna: ::Torianna leans back against Brock as he came up behind her and put his arms around her waist as she looked out of the cloud city of Nimbos. She saw many different architectural designs and saw what Brock was describing. She turned within his arms and saw his boyish smile, the one that never ceased to warm her. Her smile was one of excitement and pleasure as they shared this time together. She wondered who it was he wanted her to meet as he took her by the hand and they began to walk toward the city. She sensed right away where they were headed, remembering the monument of the Enterprise. She remembered how moved she was when first she had seen it and was happy they would be returning now, a thought also given to how she anxiously awaited the day when she would see the monument for real. As they approached the monument, Torianna's eyes sparkled when she saw all the people gathered around it taking holo pics and listening to the words of a tour guide. As her eyes scanned the people gathered, they came to rest upon an elderly man who had been sitting, resting and smiling to those that passed by. She saw him look to Brock, recognition and joy in his old eyes as he saw Brock, she smiled as the elderly man rose and waddled toward them as Brock led them toward the man. Torianna gave the man a warm smile as she blushed softly hearing him talk and compliment her.:: It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Kelmar. I do not blame Brock for coming here to play as a young boy, I believe if I had grown up on Stratos, I would have come here to play as well...and to dream. I know of some of Brock's dreams and am looking forward to standing by his side as he fulfills them. [/b][/i]::She squeezed Brock's hand and looked to him with a smile before continuing to speak with Kelmar.:: My mother is from Elas and that is where I was born. My father's homeworld is Krios Prime and I spent much of my time growing up there until I went to the Starfleet Academy on Earth. [/b][/i]::Torianna saw the joy and happiness in the elderly man's eyes and knew he was very happy to see Brock again.::
Brock Dantara: ::Brock smiled listening to the two of them talk. He had no doubt that had this been the real Kelmar, he would have equally, if not more enamored with Tori than his holo-counterpart. Kelmar, ::Brock asked.:: Would you tell Tori the "Story"? I told her about it , but I know she'd rather hear it from you. You have a way with stories.
KELMAR: [/b]Of course, Of course, I knew that was coming! ::Turns to Tori.::[/b] You see, my Dear, just as Brock would come out here to play as a boy, so did I as a child. Even now, it gives me great joy to watch the children and cherish the times I had here as a child. IF you can look fondly upon the past, and yet enjoy the present, you have found true riches. So, you see, one day I was out here playing with my ornothopter that my father had given me. It had been caught up by the great winds here that we often have, and went over the edge of the promenade. As I came to the edge to look for it, and there stood this old woman in a hooded robe. when I came up to her, she pulled back the hood to look at me. I saw an old, yet pretty woman crying. When I saw her, I knew who she was. Droxine, daughter of Plasus, the high commissioner. I was afraid to ask her why she was crying so I just nodded to her and walked away. I found out that she would come out here night after night and cry looking at the stars. so one day, I came to her and asked her why she would always cry. She told me that she was waiting for a man to return from the stars and take her with him. That man never came. As the years went by, suddenly she stopped coming. She had died. They said she simply died of old age, but I knew better. She died of loneliness. Of longing. That a beautiful woman such as this dies of such a thing is truly a tragedy. And now, I see my young man here with you and I am so filled with great joy and gratitude that he will not have to ever suffer such a fate. ::He begins to cry:: and to see the two of you starting your lives together in such love, this, This is truly a blessing of the Gods! Never forget when you have in abundance, what others are starving for. I am...so happy to see you both! :Cries and leans on Tori::[/b]
Torianna: ::The sparkle in Torianna's eyes would let Kelmar know that she was indeed interested in hearing the "story" and her soft chuckle filled the air hearing Kelmar tell Brock he knew that was coming. She listened intently to the story as Kelmar told of both he and Brock coming here as young boys to play. She was enthralled by the story, although she had heard Brock tell it when first they visited Stratos by way of the holodeck. It was indeed a love story although the ending was sad. Torianna could sympathize with the woman though for she knew she too would die of loneliness were Brock to disappear and never return. As Kelmar began to cry, Tori felt tears fill her eyes but she fought them, not allowing them to fall as Kelmar spoke of his happiness in seeing her and Brock together and in love. She placed her arm around his waist as he leaned on her and cried. She kissed his cheek softly:: Thank you for sharing the story with me, Kelmar and yes, I agree that I have truly be blessed by the Gods when Brock walked into my life. [/b][/i]::She looked at Brock and smiled softly.::
Brock Dantara: ::Brock watched as Tori spoke to the old man. He was elated to see him, and at the same time a little saddened. He hugged Kelmar.:: Thank you, my friend. Having you bless us this way is worth more than all the latinum in the Ferengi Empire. I've missed you, dearly, Old friend.
KELMAR:[/b] I know that you have much to show your beloved, Brock. Go now and enjoy the Marvels of Stratos. You will see me again before you leave, yes? Oh and one more thing, ::Turns to Tori::[/b] Watch this, my dear! ::Another Holo image appears on the deck of the promenade. He is jumping around, playing with a small model ship that worked on antigravs. the boy held the small control box to it and was making it maneuver over his head.::[/b] Can you guess, my dear, who that might be? ::He smiles looking between Brock and Tori. Brock smiled but blushed a little at the site. He waited to see if Tori would recognize the boy.:[/b]
Torianna: ::Torianna then watched Brock with Kelmar as they hugged each other and shared a few words. Her smile bright, her eyes twinkling as she looked back and forth between the two.:: I am so looking forward to seeing all of Stratos but looking forward to our real visit even more. [/b][/i]::Her face glowing now as she looked to Brock. She then heard Kelmar and looked up to the promenade, seeing the young boy playing with the small model ship and immediately recognized him, she turned again to Brock.:: Oh, my Sh'aud, you were as adorable as a young boy as you are handsome as a grown man. I do hope if we have a son one day, that he looks just like you. [/b][/i]::She moved to lean against Brock then, a warm loving smile gracing her face.::
Brock Dantara: ::Brock blushed even more at Tori's words. Seeing himself back then, for that moment took him back, reminding him of how lucky he was, for he had good mentors. His Father, Kelmar, and later Sensei Musashi. He made a silent vow at tat moment that he would never forget their teachings and he would remember and honor these wonderful men.
KELMAR:[/b] You see, my dear? even back then, he was already a Starship Captain! ::He had such a proud look when he bragged about Brock.::[/b] Even back then, he was becoming a good man. As a boy, he was a good righteous child. He loved people, he was always fair to everyone and he was honest. He never had a bad thing to say about anyone, always looking for the good in people. He believed that if you treat a person great, then that person will act, in turn, with greatness!
Brock Dantara: You taught me those things, Kelmar. And many other things. ::He looked back to Tori, putting his arm around her.:: Adorable, huh? Well, my love, our children had better look like me! ::Laughs:: but it wouldn't hurt them to have some of your good looks either. If we have a son, with our genes he will be quite the lady killer! and if we have a daughter, I will need my Sensei's sword to chase away all the men that would pursue her! ::Kisses her:: But it will be our child and will be, to us the most beautiful child in the universe. But we're getting ahead of ourselves, Perhaps we should focus more on an upcoming honeymoon!
Brock Dantara: ::when he saw the tears in her eyes he wiped them away with his fingers a little, not wanting to smudge her makeup any. He showed her his hand with the tears on it.:: These don't work on me, Sh'aud, they never could, because what I feel is real. When I look at you, Sh'aud, I see only the music of your love, and it is all high notes. We'll leave the Durges to the Klingons. ::Smiles as he hugs her.:: I love you more than the stars could know, Sh'aud.

[/b][/i]::As the music began, Tori's voice seemed to fill the shuttle.::
