::Kestrin looked over her readings again, his brow furrowed. He gave her another shot. It was almost a battle just to keep her acetylcholine levels at normal in her hippocampus. What the boy told him was actually making some sense. She had said she was a telepath and her people had it at different levels. Some, he suspected, must have a very high level of it, and this was what was doing this to her. He leaned over her::
Ryza, if you can hear me, we will be transferring to the Concord soon. i will be with you and the children the whole time. Counselor Reignfield will be coming with us as well.
The triage medics will be here in a moment to pick you up. The children will come with me until you are setlled aboard the transport vehicle.
::He squeezed her hand to let her know he was there. Not much more he could do at this point. Way too early for any more drugs. Kestrin needed answers and he was determied to find them. He turned to Zacharay::
What else can you tell me about this, young man?

::Kestrin was coming out of the door of Kay's room when he turned only to see Ens Torianna smiling and greeting him warmly.:: Yes! Hello, Ensign Torianna, It's nice to see you too. I'm very glad that you've stepped in to say hello. In answer to your two questions, yes, and I think yes as well. ::Smiles:: I think a ittle company would do her some good. She's very worried about the outcome of the surgery but Dr Jackson did a wonderful job and is very adept at the latest medical techniques Starfleet now has to offer.
The two of us are being transferred to the USS Concord. I'm just trying to help her get ready. Dr Nyin will be be coming with us as well. I'm going to personally oversee her case.
Why don't you go look in kay while I see how Ryza's holding up. She's going to need full triage for the transfer. ::He led Torianna through the door to see Kay where she was resting quietly, then went off to look in on Ryza:: ::Torianna listened with interest as Dr. Thrann talked to her about Kay. Her brow furrowed a bit as she was informed that Dr. Thrann, as well as Kay had received transfer orders to the USS Concord and would be taking Dr. Nyin along with them. For a brief moment, a wave of concern passed over her face as she wondered if the two women were ready to be moved but then hearing that Dr. Thrann was going to be personally overseeing Dr. Nyin's case, her concern eased a little. Of course, she realized that Dr. Thrann would not place either woman in harms way and would postpone the transfer if he thought for a moment it would endanger the lives or welfare of the women. A sadness filled her though as she realized that once they left the Optimus, the chances of seeing either again would be slight and she had not had a chance to speak with Dr. Nyin at all.::
::Her thoughts then set aside as Dr. Thrann finished talking and she had just a few brief moments to speak with him as he escorted her into Kay's room.:: I met Kay briefly down in the cargobay when we first learned of her injury. ::She sighed softly.:: I am only sorry I did not take more notice of her sooner but she seemed to be sleeping peacefully each time I walked past her, I heard neither a moan or groan pass over her lips, although I did several times watch her respirations which appeared normal. ::She looked at the doctor, her eyes meeting with his.:: It will be my pleasure to visit with her and try to reassure her as well. ::She smiled then as they entered Kay's room and she looked upon her lying on the biobed. Turning to Dr. Thrann, she smiled:: Thank you for escorting me her, Dr. Thrann and I do hope we have a chance to speak again before you leave. ::With that said, Torianna turned her attention to Kay, with a warm smile.:: Hello, Kay. I know that the last time we met, was not the best of circumstances so allow me to introduce myself again. I am Ensign Torianna, CNS here on the Optimus and I am very happy to report that I have received the wonderful news that your surgery went very well. I would though like to ask you how you are feeling and if there is anything at all that I can do for you?

Not much more he could do at this point. Way too early for any more drugs. Kestrin needed answers and he was determined to find them. He turned to Zachary:: What else can you tell me about this, young man? Ryza moved slightly again as her hand was squeezed, her eyes trying to open. A soft mutter escaped her, a single word really, "....Kenshin...." then the rest was moaned off, everything about her stilling again.Zack turned and watched his mother, taking a breath and holding his emotions in control almost as well as a Vulcan did. "His name is Kenshin and he was banned from our home because he would rather use his abilities to control others to serve his needs." Turning to look at Kestrin he would shrug slightly. "The Elders don't like to talk about him, but Elder Sha'ela told us once that he fell in love with our mother one day. He did everything in his power to get to her, but it fell apart on him." Zack lowered his head and moved back to his mother's side. "He....found her again before we moved to the Guardian. And....this time he got her." Zack gently brushed the hair from his mother's face. "She was lost to us for almost a year.... when she came back....it wasn't long after that when she had Jirrah. It took another three months to break his hold on her and then we were transfered. This is his doing.....I know it." Turns and looks at Kestrin again. "He's not going to stop until he has her back....or he kills her..."

::Kestrin sighed. This is about what he had expected. There was nothing else it could be. Whoever this "Kenshin" was, he was threatening a Starfleet officer now, and this should not be taken likely.::
Thank you, Zack. That was very well explained and informative. If you chose, you would make an exceptional Starfleet officer with the kind of aptitude I see in you.
::He looked up to the sickbay doors and saw the medical triage team coming for Ryza and probably Kay as well.::
We'll talk more about this when we get under way and then I hope to have your Mother up and about again once we reach Concord.
We have to find some kind of way to block this influence. And Zach, assuming that this "Kenshin" is the one responsible, Do you know where we could find him?

Zack thought for a moment then shook his head. "He can be anywhere and as for becoming an officer....That I have not decided yet. My mother and sisters come first....it's what I was taught back home."
Pauses and thinks a moment as he watches the people come in for his mother. "Sir.... I do remember something my mother told me once when she came back. She said that he dwells along the Shadowed Path. Now...back home the Shadowed Path is named for a group of planets centered in a dark void alongside our own system...." Shakes his head slightly. "Wish I could help more then that but that's all I can say."

"Now that you're awake, let's do a few mobility and sensation tests. Try moving your legs, feet and toes please."She gets out her medical tricorder and scans her nerves and impulses. ::Torianna's eyes opened wide, her brow raised as Dr. Jackson strode into Kay's room and spoke to Kay as if Torianna was not even present. Torianna stood at the side of Kay's biobed and watched in complete disbelief as Dr. Jackson took our her medical tricorder and began to scan Kay's nerves and impulses, still not acknowledging her presence. She wondered for a moment if the doctor had a serious eyesight problem or if she, herself had miraculously become invisible. Torianna cleared her throat and looking directly at Dr. Jackson, she spoke in her normal soft tone.:: Excuse me, Dr. Jackson, but it seems you have very rudely interrupted a conversation I have just begun having with Kay. I have just reintroduced myself to her, not certain if due to the circumstances of our first meeting that she would remember me. I would like you to know that I searched all of sickbay for you in an attempt to discuss Kay's case with you before seeing her but after tiring of waiting for you to appear, I spoke with others about Kay. My most recent conversation was with the good Dr. Thrann who so graciously escorted me here into Kay's room stating that he believed having company would be good for Kay. Mind you, I do understand the importance of your conducting a few mobility and sensations tests and am not at all minimizing the benefit of such but I do believe they could have waited until my conversation with Kay had ended or perhaps you could have at least acknowledged my presence and spoke with me as well. The last I checked, I did have a reflection in the mirror and was not invisible to others. ::Her facial features showed her aggravation at the rudeness blatantly displayed by the doctor. She grew quiet then and waited for Dr. Jackson to respond.::

::She had been sleeping off the effects of the anesthesia, anyone who has had surgery knows that it doesn’t just go away instantaneously. She awoke to the sounds of Dr. Jackson, followed by Torianna talking to each other. She continued to lay there, refraining from saying anything, until she saw fit to stop the conversation, wondering if either of the women had any idea she had been sleeping.::

::Torianna looked down at Kay and saw that her gaze was going from Dr. Jackson to herself and despite her irritation, she smiled down at Kay.::Kay, forgive me for my display of irritation and my rudeness in such a display but I do not enjoy being ignored as if I do not exist. I will leave you now so that the doctor may perform the tests she feels are so vital they must be done immediately and I will stop back to speak with you before you are transported to the USS Concord. I was very glad to hear that your surgery went well and hope your recovery is a speedy one. I hope to talk to you again soon. Good day, Kay.::Torianna then looked straight into Dr. Jackson's eyes, her irritation evident.:: Good day, Dr. Jackson.
::Torianna then left Kay's bedside and walked to the door without another word said.::

She didnt think she was cut out for the bridge any more, or a command. she wondered absentmindidly what was going to happen to her, she still hadnt heard. And where in the world was the Admiral. She addresses Helm:: "Whats our status?"

Sabina is surprised by such a reaction from the counselor. "I'm sorry for interrupting. Continue your meeting, please." She turns and leaves the room. She will send a nurse in later for the final tests on Kay.

Alex just quitely contiued his watch in the cargo bay. His eyes held in them enough emotion to stop any man that was looking at them long enough dead in his tracks. The time of morning was at an end for Alex and now he moved on to another chapter in his life. His gaze was as hard as stone and as clear as crystal. His eyes now cold and almost lifeless. Three days now without food and he should be sleeping now with the rest of the rotation but he wasn't he was watching and waiting for something, anything to keep him from thinking. His men were sleeping at their posts with the secondary shift now wide awake. He was ready for anything and so were the men. Helmets, gear, weapons, and all, ready for anything that could be thrown at them at a moment's notice.

((This is backdated a little bit, just so people know)) ::Kyah has their few things packed up for transfer. She enters sickbay with both of her daughters secured in their stroller.:: Kestrin... where are you? ::She calls out into sickbay. She wants to say goodbye and she hopes she isn't going to start crying. She'll really miss having Kestrin around to talk to. Ever since they'd been picked up by the Optimus, it just wasn't the same.::
