She was grateful for the Consoler's gentile presence and promoting her to speak but at the same time she still had to look at Alex, even if it was his back, to get assurance that she was safe before she turned her attention back on the Consoler.
I know what brought on the attack and I believe talking to you would prevent another one, but I am unsure as to how about going expressing my emotions.
She paused for a moment.
I am who I am. The departure of Commander Aaroway threw my though a loop to say the least. I have yet to fully deal with the loss of the Numeria. The crew I was close to...at least the ones who are missing or presumed dead at this point. They were not the first crew I bonded with but I felt more of a connection with them then any other crew that I had been apart of because all of them helped me to transition from being a station officer to one on a starship.
She then looked at Alex again.
I don't know how the old man put up with me all those years ago but I'm glad he did.
She then turned her gaze on the Consoler again.
Hopefully that was helpful...I know solutions don't come over night in these matters.
She smiled slightly before taking a deep breath. She felt better just having been able to voice what she was feeling and remembering that she was on a Starfleet vessel not on a pure Vulcan one. She wouldn't get yelled at for feeling and expressing it openly.

::Torianna watched Commander Rivers closely, patiently waiting for her to respond as she stood near the biobed. The Commander's glance over in the direction of where the Marine Captain had stood as Torianna entered was noted. Torianna sensed the Commander's need for assurance and sensed a closeness between the Commander and the Marine Captain. She smiled warmly as the Commander turned her attention back to her and listened closely as she spoke, not speaking again until the Commander had finished.::
Commander, knowing what brought on the attack is the first step in learning how to prevent another. It will be my pleasure to work with you in finding a way to make such attacks a thing of your past. As for emotions, they are extremely complex and so much a part of our everyday life. Our emotions cause responses to certain events that trigger bodily changes which typically motivate changes in our characteristic behavior. When emotions are suppressed, they often build up and the repressed energy then cause us to react in ways we do not like and do not understand.
We are all individuals, Commander. We respond to situations and events that occur in our lives in different ways. The same stimuli affects different species, different genders and different individuals differently. Dealing with loss is one of the most difficult of all emotions but there are ways that I can help you cope with that emotion as well. I have several certifications in approved methods of therapy, Commander and we can talk later of them to see which you would feel most comfortable in using. ::Torianna gave her a warm smile, her face showing understanding and a gentle caring.::
As for the Marine Captain, true friends stand by us during the worse of times, as well as the best of times. The good times are when we usually find ourselves surrounded by many "friends" but it is during the difficult and the worst of times that we find our true friends standing beside us or at least nearby. ::Torianna looked over to where the Marine Captain had been standing, not having heard him leave, and gave him a warm smile.::
Your willingness to talk is what is most helpful, Commander, the rest will come in time. ::She reached out and gently patted the Commander's forearm, waiting to see if the Commander had anything more to add at this time.::

She nods to the counselor as she enters the room. "Hello Counselor. I'll let you have privacy. I'll be outside if I'm needed."
She slips out of the private room and goes over to a nearby computer console. She makes a note of Commander River's panic attack in the sickbay logs and lists the treatments made and that she is recieving counseling.

She noded at the Consoler.
I'll take you up on that offer to help cope. As you can see my re-learning how to be human has still some work to do. I don't think that I would have made it this far without individuals as carrying and willing to help as yourself and Marien Captain Alex...
She looked down at the floor and almost laughted remembering something.
It still sounds funny having to call him that.
She looked back at the Consoler when she put her hand on her for arm.
The gesture is most appresated Consoler, however, that is something I am still working on...response to touchs.
Her brown eyes looked like they where full of life by the time she got done talking to the Consoler.
I guess now I wait here to get dismissed so I can track down Alex on the bride. Maybe even get back to working.

She would add notes following her initial consultation with the Commander.:: She noded at the Consoler. I'll take you up on that offer to help cope. Once again she remained silent, listening closely to all the Commander had to say before responding in her soft tone.::
I am very glad to hear that you are willing to accept my help in learning how to cope with things, Commander. I must admit that I am curious as to why you feel you are relearning to be human. ::She sensed that the Commander had been forced in some way to suppress all emotions for a time and a strong feeling that the Vulcans had something to do with this filled her mind but she pushed those feelings aside quickly.:: Friends do help us make our way through life and aid us in dealing with the most difficult of problems and help us climb the highest of obstacles.
::Torianna watched as the Commander looked down to the floor, sensing that she was about to break out in laughter.:: I did not know the Marine Captain before arriving aboard the Optimus so I am unsure as to why it would sound funny to you to call him that. ::Seeing the Commander's response to her touch, she kept her hand upon the Commander's forearm.:: I am sensing that your difficulty in responding to being touched is in direct correlation with the statement you made in regards to relearning how to be human. ::Torianna paused for a moment before continuing, seeing that life had returned into the brown eyes of the Commander as they talked.:: As far as you being dismissed from sickbay, I will speak with Dr. Jackson in reference to your physical condition but in a psychological sense, I see no reason for you not to return to duty and will clear you for such, with the understanding that you will check your duty schedule and let me know when we can begin our sessions. As far as the Marine Captain goes, it is my feeling that you will not have difficulty in locating him. One more thing, I want you to send for me immediately if you feel another panic attack beginning, do not hesitate for a moment no matter what time of day or night. ::She smiled warmly and removed her hand from the Commander's forearm.:: Do you have any questions for me or is there anything else you would like to discuss before I leave to speak with Dr. Jackson?

I beleive in the follow up visits I will be able to tell you more about my past assignments so you can get a better understanding of where I am comming from in that respect. As for in this moment I don't got anything else to discuss with you Consoler. I am acutally quite anxious about getting back on the horse again so to speak.
She smiled and shurged a bit. She knew that she would have plenty of time to speak with the Consoler on many things, so to prevent another attack. In the mean time she was just happy to have someone to call other then medical when she's going to have an attack.

::Happy to finally get bridge duty, Amir was only too anxious to got to the helm, or engineering.
He had decided at the lat second to take a position on Optimus. He was intrugued with the mission, and this way, he felt like ha had a chance to help someone, the way he was rescued from the Impostor base.
He liked the idea that this ship was wolf in sheeps clothing and was looking forward to what would come along this mission.::

Sabina hears the call to the bridge and sticks her head into the private exam room. "Commander Rivers, Lieutenant Torianna, there's a meeting... if you are feeling up to it. I need to go, though, so that's where I will be." She smiles and closes the door.
She gets on the TL and goes up to the bridge.

She took a deep breath before getting off the biobed and stood for a while before speaking since the Consoler was still there.
Well, Consoler looks like we got a job to do.
She smiled briefly before walking out of sickbay tugging on her uniform a bit to make sure it was in it's proper place. She walked through the doors of sickbay a few moments later and then down the hall to the TL. Once in the TL she told it to go to the bridge. Shortly after that she arrived on the bridge nodding to all that were already there.

Alex of course was on the bridge at his station. He smiled a bit seeing the Commander walk though the TL doors. It was good to see the young lady up and back at it. She was a fighter always had been didn't surprise him a bit she was ready to be on the go. He had just finished up communicating with security when he heard the call to the bridge. Lucky him he didn't have to book it onto the bridge he was already there. Defiantly not a good idea to run so much these days since he got tired easy. He knew Falk was on the ball he heard the groans yesterday morning when he slept down in the barracks with the men. They were diffidently feeling the burn of a long and hard time of play and duty. Alex couldn't be more pleased with Falk and Constantine's cooperation.

I feel confident, Commander, that together we will be able to manage any future panic attacks and eventually prevent them from happening at all. ::She nodded.:: I can understand you being anxious to return to work so, since you have nothing further you would like to discuss with me right now, I will go and talk to Dr. Jackson in reference to you getting medical clearance to return to duty.
::Torianna gave Christina a warm smile and then turned to head out of the private room in order to locate Dr. Jackson. As she took a step, she heard the shipwide communication from Brock and could not help when her smile grew even warmer as it seemed to light up her face.:: CO*T*>Shipwide> Attention all hands, this is Commander Dantara, We are coming out of trans warp on final approach to sector 714. She chuckled softly as she once again looked to the Commander.:: Well Commander, I believe you were just given medical clearance, if you are feeling up to it. Torianna was satisfied that the Commander was physically fine as she watched her straighten her uniform and walk to the door. As Torianna walked through sickbay, she paused briefly to speak with a nurse who approached her with a question and when she turned to leave sickbay to head to the bridge, she smiled finding the Commander had not waited. Torianna smiled as she made her way from sickbay to the turbolift, stepping onto it, she spoke softly but clearly:: Computer, to the Bridge.
::As the turbolift came to a stop and the doors slid opened, she stepped out onto the bridge. Her eyes scanned the room, greeting those already on the bridge before her eyes met with Brock's and held for a moment, no words spoken between them but so much said in the brief gaze.:: Lt. Torianna reporting as ordered, Commander.

Sabina takes a good look around the bridge. She rarely got up here, and she sees several people who must be new. She will have to start scheduling physicals for people, she reminds herself.
She smiles at a new Lieutenant she hasn't met before. She walks over to him, "Hi, I don't think we've met. I'm Dr. Sabina Jackson. It's nice to meet people outside of sickbay for a change."

::Amir had been watching the screens intently as he was getting ready to take Optimus out of transwarp. He heard a female voice behind him introducing herself. He stood to turn and face her.::
Dr Jackson, ::He held his hand out.:: Pleasure to meet you, Ma'am. Lt.J.G. Amir Khambatti. Just transferred from the Chimaira. ::He leaned and whispered to the Dr.:: I haven't had a chance to see a Dr since the war, except the one on a covert OPS ship. I was a POW and I need to be checked out. Just let me know when you want me in sickbay.
::He smiled and went back to piloting the ship, waiting for orders.::
