::She looks down as he talks about the loved ones he lost. She puts a hand on his shoulder reasurringly.:: We will see each other again. And I will talk to Admiral Harsting to see if he'd like to have you aboard, if you want to come... when your duties to your patient are over... ::She leans over and picks up the girls and takes a holocamera out of their diaper bag. She hands the wiggly babies over to Kestrin and holds up the camera. Tahna and Kes giggle and smile for the camera.:: This is for your office, so say cheese. ::He smiled as she took the holo picture. This would be a treasured memory for him.:: Thank you, Kyah. I look forward to putting it up in my new office. it will be the first thing to adorn it. I will contact you on the Theonomy as soon as I am settled in over on the Concord. ::He hugged the two of them, kissed the twins and turned to see Dr Nyin coming on for transport. He appeared restless and kestrin knew he had to check on her. He gives nother nod goodbye to Thomas and Kyah, and gets into the medical runabout with Ryza, the children and Kay.::

After being helped, Ryza just slipped into a state of vacant staring. Her eyes were again vacant as if something else had blocked her view. Seeing his mother in the transport with Dr Jackson and the look upon her face, Zachary quickly moved to his mothers side, falling to his knees and looking up at her. "Mom?" He called out as he took her hand. "Mom?!" Then quickly looked up as he shook his head. "What happened?"

::She presses the memory chip with the picture on it into Kestrin's hand. She takes the girls back into her arms as she says goodbye.:: Make sure you come visit!
::She struggles not to cry as she goes with Thomas to their transport shuttle, heading in the opposite direction. Soon, they will be at their new home.::

Seeing his mother in the transport with Dr Jackson and the look upon her face, Zachary quickly moved to his mothers side, falling to his knees and looking up at her. "Mom?" He called out as he took her hand. "Mom?!" Then quickly looked up as he shook his head. "What happened?" Sabina bites her lip, thinking hard. "I don;t know, Zachary." She knows something that might help, but was afraid to try. Sometimes, people just needed a good shock to the system to wake them up and make them stop moping around. She had heard something about an ex-lover who was bothering her, and in that regard, it sounded like Ryza was giving up too easily and letting him beat her. Strength did not matter. Willpower in the face of a stronger enemy did. Her people had proved that and survived and even resisted in the face of the Cardassian Occupation.
She sighs and looks at Kestrin, "Good luck at your next assignment. I'm putting Ryza back into your capable hands. But, doctor's orders, you must get a solid 8 hours of sleep before doing anything requiring concentration." She looks at him sternly for a moment, then turns and heads back to sickbay. Some things just weren't meant to be.

::Brock smiled at Kasia as she relinquished the command chair.:: Don't feel bad, Captain I haven't recieved mine yet either. I was just beginning to discuss it with the Admiral, and we recieved a report the the war was over. Talk about bad timing. ::Grins:: I had just left Admiral Malc in the Ready Room. he said he'd be up here as soon as he finished some work. You'll probably still catch him there. ::He contiued before taking the chair:: How are you holding up? Captain? The CNS here has been very supportive to both our crews, and myself as well. You might want to chat with her. ::He began to scan the bridge personell as he stood with Capt Kaz.:: Status reports, all stations. ::He turned his attention back to the Captain.:: ::she looks to him. and quietly stands there In a whisper she replies:: "Ive not been well. But I will speak with the Admiral first." ::Kasia goes away quietly leaving Brock at the captains chair. She goes to his ready room and rings his chime and awaits his reply.::

::She smiled when Torianna re-entered her room.:::It's ok, I understand. I don't think there's too much left anyone can do for me. I know the triage teams will be coming for me soon to transfer me to the shuttle for the ride to the Concord. Then the CMO there will take over my case. ::Torianna smiled as she saw Kay's smile. She listened as Kay spoke, then replied in her soft voice.::Thank you for your understanding, it seems exhaustion is beginning to seep into the core of many of use. I must disagree though that there's not too much that anyone can do for you. Yes, you will face some difficult moments during your rehabilitation but I believe all will work out well for you as an end result. I do realize the triage team will be here for you soon but I did not wish for you to leave before we had a chance to talk a bit. If I can be of any help or if you just need someone to talk to, I am never further than a subspace message away, Kay. Please remember that. Take good care of yourself, Kay and do not worry, from what I have heard, you are in wonderful hands, having Dr. Thrann as your physician.[/b][/i] ::Torianna stood by the biobed for a moment or two, waiting to see if Kay had anything more to say before she would leave and head to her quarters, or perhaps to look in on Brock before doing so. A soft smile crossed her face as her eyes twinkled brightly with the mere thought of the handsome Lt. Commander.::

She returns to sickbay and goes to Kay's room. She picks up a PADD of Kay's record and asks a nurse to replicate a fresh uniform in Kay's size. The nurse brings the uniform after a few minutes. She knocks on the bulkhead by the door to Kay's room before entering and waits for a reply.

::She listened as Torianna spoke, when she was done, she thought a bit, before speaking.:: No doubt I have quite a bit of physical therapy to complete before I'm back to what I was before. I know I will be able to make it with the physical therapist's help as well as Dr. Thrann. ::Thinking of him brought a smile out that she couldn't keep inside.:: I will try to give you updates, but I don't know what my case load looks like on the Concord, but I'll try.
::She hears the knock at the door, assumes it's Dr. Jackson.::
I think Dr. Jackson is here to finish things up on her end. It was good to get to know you Torianna and I'll be sure to keep in touch. As you leave, tell Dr. Jackson she may come in. Say hello to Brock for me. Talk to you soon.

Alex was now going about roaming the ship making sure that the marines that weren't on duty in the cargo bay were at their post. He was relived of his post as guard of the door a few hours ago. He was not going to go lay down like the marines wanted him to. He was working and working hard. Just because the war was over doesn't mean that they could take a vacation right now. Alex was still preoccupied with things on his mind but that didn't stop him from driving forward like a good solider and checking in on his men. He knew that many like him wouldn't take a break unless ordered to by the person above them.
Every marine he passed in the halls of the ship saluted him and gave him a report when he stopped them. The training and preparations were all not for nothing but for something. The war over granted they probably wouldn't use the training but at least they bonded as units now. Knowing who had their back and who was on their side. The two divisions of marines, one from the Guardian and one from the Optimums, now fought side by side without question. That in itself was an accomplishment that will help them in further missions.
Eventually Alex made his way back to the marine section of the ship and found the marines training hard core on hand to hand. The war might have spoked them into do it or they might just be use to operating that way Alex had no way of telling. For the war with him made him for a moment lose touch with reality and forget where he was. Now with that over he had far greater things to focus on. That would be the company and readiness of the marines should another combat situation arise. After all they were all fighting for the same cause. Might as well start preparing for the next battle and the next war while they could, so the cost of victory wouldn't be so high.
He nodded to those training before going into an 'office' to sit down and file the final reports that he was sure would be needed of them on the war and on the shape of the Optimums marines. Granted the marine base on this ship grew in number with the Guardian's end but still there were many who's lives where lost not only in the marines but in other devisions as well. That is something that Alex soon won't forget.

Talk to you soon. ::Torianna nodded as she listened to Kay acknowledged the fact that she would need physical therapy to regain the physical condition she had before the unfortunate circumstances that caused her to require surgery. The smile that brightened her face with the mention of Dr. Thrann caused Torianna's eyebrows to raise but only slightly. Although Torianna had spent just a brief time with Dr. Thrann, she could understand why Kay would smile.:: I would very much like it if you did keep in touch and give me updates on your progress. I have no doubt that you will work very hard to regain the strength and the ease of movement you had before.[/b][/i] ::Torianna also heard the knock at the door, unconsciously glancing in that direction before turning her attention back to Kay with a warm smile hearing her words.:: It was a pleasure getting to know you a little Kay and I hope that we will keep in touch. Perhaps we can even consult with each other if either of us runs into a difficult case, sometimes two opinions are better than one.[/b][/i] ::Her brows raised again as Kay asked her to say hello to Brock for her, wondering just how much Kay knew but then her smile grew realizing that her face and smile must tell as much when Brock's name was mentioned as Kay's did with the mention of Dr. Thrann's name.:: Take good care of yourself Kay and I look forward to hearing from you soon. Good luck and congratulations on your transfer to the USS Concord.[/b][/i] ::Torianna then walked to the door, giving Dr. Jackson a smile.:: Kay is waiting to see you, she is in good spirits and much of that is due to your expertise and the success of the surgery. Fine work, Dr. Jackson.[/b][/i] ::Torianna then walked out of sickbay with a smile, happy that Kay was coming along so well.::

She waits until the counselor emerges from the room and gives her assessment on Kay's condition. She nods with a wain smile. "I'm glad she's feeling better. You've helped a lot of people today... as your physician, I order you to get some rest."
She turns and enters the room and smiles tiredly at Kay. "Let's do some preliminary tests, then we need to get you to the transport shuttle. Please try to move your legs, feet and toes."

::She waits as the two converse about her condition. She too hopes Torianna will get some rest. Everyone she has seen looks like they could use some sleep.::
::She listens as the doctor instructs her on what to do. Her thighs move the most, the movement gets less as things get farther away from her waist. Everything moves at least 1/2 inch. She smiles at Dr. Jackson.::
No doubt physical therapy is needed, but don't things look good?

::Brock took the command chair after Captain Kaz had left the bridge. He saw the state she had been in and hoped that she would find a way to come to terms with it.::
::He looked at the bridge crew, knowing that they didn't know him yet, they were slow to respond.::
I asked for a Status report. All stations report in. ::He looked at the helm officer:: Current heading and speed please.

She smiles, "Yes... it's excellent. As your nerves get used to having impulses again and as your muscles regain strength, you will be able to move your toes more." She gives Kay the fresh uniform to change into and helps her if needed. "We're a little cramped for time... let's get you to the shuttle... on the way, tell me what sensations you can feel."
